A 20-Months-Old Baby Girl Dead In A Storm In Catalonia
The baby was immediately rushed to hospital and was provided with all the necessary treatment at the hospital located in the provincial capital. She breathed for few hours and later she passed away during the early morning hours of Wednesday. The National broadcasting channel of Spain, RTVE telecasted this whole situation along with the statement of the mayor of the town, Carme Vall that said that everyone is grieving for the little girl who lost her life due to this tragedy involving her getting injured by hailstone during the storm. Since her conditions were already out of control and she was severely injured medical staff couldn’t help her as expected and she died today terribly.

This whole incident was tragic and shattering enough. Mayor gave another interview to a show called, RAC 1 courtesy of a Catalan radio station, where he stated that there was no rain or stone fall, although there was huge hail for 10 continuous minutes where the size of hailstones was about 11 cm wide. Those 10 minutes were more than just hail or storm but was like moments of terror, everyone was praying for the storm to stop. The regional president of Catalan parts, named as, Pere Aragonès, said that he tribute his deepest condolences to the family of that little girl and all those who were injured or somehow affected by the storm. He even paid his gratitude to all those medical staff members who were available on the spot at the time of need for dealing with casualties. Catalonia’s regional firefighting service department, often referred to as Bombers got about 39 calls from the town Forallac and La Bisbal d’Empordà since midnight as the storm has caused the greatest casualty everywhere. Localities have already posted pictures of damage and tragedy on Twitter. Reportedly it was the greatest loss caused in the last 20 years due to hailstorms. We pray for the peace of the girl’s soul.
