Who is Jay Reist?
The attack happened on Friday, 22nd July 2022, and since then he is being monitored in the Intensive Care Unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital which is situated in Washington Heights. He got brain trauma after he was reportedly banged in the back of his head. The entire incident has been captured in the video which is presently making rounds all over the web. The CCTV video footage viewed Reist taking an exit from a subway station on the 8th Avenue of 15th street at around 02:00 AM before getting into a cab. He began catching when he was in the rideshare which prompted the cab driver to instantly brought him to the hospital, and since then he is admitted to the hospital and remains in ICU.

As per the media outlet, on Wednesday, 27th July 2022 Eric Adams the Mayor of the city called the Big Apple a state “laughing stock.” On Thursday, the victim went to have drinks along with his pals on the Lower East Side. Before his wound, he was seen partying at Dream Baby which is situated on Avenue B. Reist was last watched in stable condition while exiting the subway station on the early morning of Friday. Louise Reist, the mother of the victim, suspects that her son was assailed somewhere along the stops of L Line which is located in Manhattan.
Who Is The Suspect?
She informed the media outlet, “According to me, my son was in the wrong place at the wrong time.” She stated that she already got the realization that something wrong has happened to my son after Reist failed to come back to their house which is in Inwood and he was not even picking up her call or not replying to her messages. She told that “I dialed his number many times and then a nurse picked the call!” The mother who was concerned about the well-being of his son came under a sudden shock when she got to know that he was admitted to the hospital. She stated she discovered Reist at the hospital who is struggling with a brain wound.
