Chandigarh University Viral Video
As per the reports, the pupils at Chandigarh University in Mohali of Punjab organized protests after a girl reportedly leaked the private videos of her hostel mates on the web. Ever since this case surfaced on the web the police lodged the case and by understanding the seriousness of the case they already detained the accused girl. According to the reports, in the girl’s hostel of the university, a girl pupil allegedly captured a video of at least 60 other pupils while taking shower and later she posted it to an adult website.

Though Chandigarh University has rejected all such things and stated that these “objectionable videos” are just hearsay. Later on, the girls were made aware of the serious situation, the chaos began in the University as pupils inundated it with demands for justice. Due to the shocking behavior of the girl, it has been reported that around 8 girls attempted to take their life, though the SSP of Mohali rejected the same and stated no suicide or death related to this case has been reported as of now. The administration of the university has denied the posts on social media claiming the news of the suicide.

The officials of the private university have stated only 1 girl was admitted to the hospital after she fainted but now her condition is stable. After hearing about all this chaos, the government of Punjab has ordered a high-level investigation into the matter, as informed by Bhagwant Mann the Chief Minister of Punjab through his Twitter handle. On probe, cops have discovered that they find only 1 video and even that too of the arraigned herself. According to the police the girl has not recorded any videos of another student. Dr. RS Bawa the Pro-Chancellor of Chandigarh University issued a statement stating that The hearsay which is making rounds on the web that 60 private videos have been discovered of pupils…is totally wrong and false. At the time of the preliminary probe organized by the University, there have been no videos discovered of any pupil, and only the accused recorded her video with her beau which is objectionable, and police already investigating it. Mobile phones and electronic devices have been taken into custody and have already been sent for forensic checking. The police are requesting the public to not immediately believes in social media posts as these kinds of posts made people panic.
